It's A Monk's Life

Get Medieval

One Eyed Rat Summer Beer Festival

There will be a summer beer festival held from 12 noon at the One Eyed Rat pub on Allhallowgate. The festival will feature many of 2008's most popular real ales along with music and a BBQ. Everyone welcome.

Call my Bluff Wine Tasting Evening at Lockwoods

Three course dinner and complimentary tasting of six intriguing wines. Your challenge is to guess which of three possible descriptions of each wine is correct. The best wine afficionado at the end of the evening will of course receive resounding applause, and a prize!

Great Ripon Raft Race
Saturday 23 August
The third annual raft race organised by local charity Scuba Diving For All.

EXHIBITION OF ORIGINAL PAINTINGS BY YORKSHIRE ARTIST DIANE THORNTON
Wednesday 27 August to Sunday 28 September
Newby Hall is a superb setting for this exhibition of paintings by this yorkshire artist. Diane studied art and ceramics at York and Harrogate. The Exhibition includes paintings of Yorkshire from the East Coast over the North Yorkshire Moors to the Magnificent City of York.
